Registrations for the 2020 Boldbrain Startup Challenge are open. The Ticino accelerator welcomes early-stage startups willing to undergo a three-month training program to get their innovative ideas off the ground and turn them into a profitable business.

Boldbrain Startup Challenge is an ever growing and evolving program that is achieving widespread recognition and acclaim far beyond our regional borders. Boldbrain fits well in the nation-wide context of similar existing programs and it continues to build important new relationships and collaborations which further enhance the program and the experience of its participants. Boldbrain is part of the network of Swiss accelerators but stands out for two important features: on the one hand, it is designed for startups in the "early stage" phase, i.e. when the idea is in its initial phase and, on the other hand, the Ticino accelerator is horizontal, i.e. open to all sectors of activity. The only conditions required are the innovative character and scalability of the project.

The Boldbrain Startup Challenge is organised by Fondazione Agire, in collaboration with the CP Start-Up of USI Università della Svizzera italiana and a selection of qualified partners who contribute to the success of the program. With the financial support from the Department of the Economy and Finances of the Canton Ticino and BancaStato, the final cash prizes totalling CHF 120.000 which are complemented by other in-kind prizes worth more than CHF 70.000 in total, including a full scholarship to attend the USI Executive MBA worth 45.000 CHF. In addition, the finalists also have the opportunity, under certain conditions, to benefit from Cantonal tax benefits.
