Francesco Lurati is a professor of Corporate Communication at the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society of USI Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano, Switzerland. He pursues research in the field of Corporate Communication, in particular, in the areas of Organizational Identity and Corporate Reputation. He has published in the Journal of Business Research, Strategic Organization, Corporate Reputation Review, Corporate Communications: an International Journal, International Journal of Strategic Communication and Journal of Public Relations Research. He is the academic director of the MSc program in Corporate Communication at USI. Trained as an economist, he earned his PhD from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He has also held positions in the public and private sectors, and regularly does consulting in the field of Communication Management.

Alcide Barberis is a biotech entrepreneur and manager with over 20 years of management experience in the biotechnology industry and scientific experience in the private and public research sectors. He is currently CEO & Director of Mabylon AG and was previously CEO & President of Humabs BioMed, now a subsidiary of VIR Biotechnology. His career includes entrepreneurial start-ups (co-founder of ESBATech AG and Oncalis AG), executive management, R&D management and business development. Dr. Barberis has been a member of the Board of Directors of ESBATech and is currently a member of the Board of EffRx Pharmaceuticals, in addition to being the owner of LCID Consulting LLC. He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Zürich.

Umberto Bondi received his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and, after previous experience in the indusry as Product Manager, he obtained an Executive Master in Information Technology (Electronic Design Automation Area) from CEFRIEL (Politecnico di Milano, Italy) in 1999. From 2000 to 2017, he has been the Program Manager of the ALaRI institute (embedded systems design) at the Faculty of Informatics at USI Università della Svizzera italiana. He has authored or co-authored a number of papers and a patent in field of embedded systems. From 2007 to 2012, he was Technology Transfer consultant for USI. He actively participated in a number of national and international projects, also as project or work-package co-ordinator. Since March 2004, he belongs to the managing staff of USI Startup Centre (formerly CP Start-up USI). Since 2014, he is member of the organization team of StartCup Ticino and, since 2018, of BoldBrain Startup Challenge

Francesco Meli completed his academic studies at the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC, University of Lausanne), where he obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Management. During his studies he specialised in entrepreneurship and innovation management. He has worked at SUPSI on innovation management, business and entrepreneurship. He is passionate about startups and the energy that comes from the startup environment. He collaborates with a number of startups. At USI Startup Centre he deals with the management of the Service unit by supporting startups and organising training and events.

Tran Que Dung began her academic studies in September 1992 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Physics from the Science University in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, in 1997. In 1998, she enrolled at the Polytechnic of Milan, Italy, and obtained a second Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, in 2004. During that time, she won a scholarship at USI Università Svizzera italiana, Lugan, where she obtained a Master of Engineering in Embedded System Design-AlaRI, in July 2003. Up until 2016 she was involved in the organizational structure of the Advanced Learning Institute of USI (ALaRI).
