Startup Week: discover entrepreneurship and meet startup founders

The startup week organised by USI Startup Centre is back on campus from October 2nd to October 5th with several activities that will bring you closer to the world of innovative entrepreneurship. Get to know aspiring and experienced startup founders and discover what it takes to launch a startup, where to find ideas and how you can join a startup team.
Check out the list of activities open to all students and researchers below. Furthermore, the USI Startup Centre team will be present with an information stand under the Mensa at the West Campus on October 2nd to provide information about the startup community on campus and answer any questions.

Monday, October 2nd, 17:00-19:00 - Lugano
Join us for the startup office visit to BigOmics Analytics, a startup that empowers biologists to visualise and understand their data without learning how to code through their self-service platforms. So far, the startup has successfully closed different financing rounds for a total amount of $2.9M.

Meet students turned founders and learn more about the good and the bad about their startup journey while enjoying your free sandwich at the ‘Startups for Lunch” event.

Wednesday, October 4th, 18:30-21:00 – East Campus, Lugano
Meet the startups recently accepted into the 2-year incubation programme at the USI Startup Centre, learn about their next milestones and network with like-minded innovation enthusiasts at the Incubation kick-off pitch #2.
