The Business Concept module was completed last week. It is part of the federal Innosuisse Start-up Training programme promoted by the Federal Agency for the Promotion of Innovation Innosuisse and organised in Ticino in collaboration with the USI Start-up Promotion Centre and SUPSI.
The participants worked during the semester on four entrepreneurial projects tackling themes such a domotics, tourism, oncology and social entrepreneurship. The projects were then submitted to a jury of experts. Developed during the course, some projects are ready to be incubated at the Start-up Promotion Centre and start a process that could lead to the creation of a start-up.
The Business Concept course provides participants with the necessary foundations for the creation of a start-up, the notions for the preparation of a specific business plan and all the information related to the offers of support to entrepreneurship and start-ups accessible in Ticino and Switzerland.
The topics discussed during the semester were several, with in-depth analysis on "Entrepreneurial Thinking", "Developing customer relations" and "product development and market performance". Theory was then put into practice in workgroups, which developed an entrepreneurial project proposed by a participant.
The course is mainly aimed at master's students, PhD students and researchers from universities and universities of applied sciences. It will be offered again during the autumn semester 2020. Registration will open in spring 2020.
