About the speakers:

xFarm was born out of founder Matteo Vanotti‘s need to use a digital service to digitally manage the agricultural company that he runs with his brothers in a simple and efficient manner. The platform that was created proved to be so promising that it pushed him to create xFarm together with Salvatore Ferullo, the Company’s CEO, and Martino Poretti, head of Research and Development. xFarm is now used by >110,000 farms worldwide; the company is also a winner of the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award, and raised CHF 17 million from investors in August 2022.

Leyla is a cross-disciplinary problem-solver, currently based between Switzerland and Qatar. Since 2017, she has been developing an ed-tech project called Ethafa and have previously worked at Arduino, Martel Innovate, Interaction Design Lab SUPSI, Fablab SUPSI. She's currently managing a digital fabrication lab in Scale7 (Doha) whilst working on developing Ethafa. Ethafa won financial support from Venture Kick and First Ventures in 2021.
